Whizz Kidz

Our mission is to transform the lives of disabled children by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need, when they need them – giving them the chance to develop their full potential.
Did you know that there are an estimated 70,000 disabled children waiting for their childhoods to start, as they struggle to get a wheelchair that meets all their needs?
We believe that every young disabled person has the right to a fun and active childhood, and the chance to develop their full potential in life.
We provide disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, and life journey services, giving them opportunities to build friendships and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a bright future.

Our vision for the future is that all disabled children’s lives are full of fun, friendship and hope for an independent future. Just like any other kid’s.

The Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion helps the whole Armed Forces community through welfare, companionship and representation as well as being the Nation’s custodian of Remembrance.
Perhaps best known for the yearly Poppy Appeal and Remembrance services, the Legion is a campaigning organisation that promotes the welfare and interests of current and former members of the British Armed Forces.

The Royal British Legion is a national charity helping people in local communities, providing information, advice and guidance to help the Armed Forces community find and access the support they need.
Our local case officers provide general and crisis support. Regional specialist advisers help serving personnel and veterans seeking career and vocational advice and assist with War Pension Appeals and Armed Forces compensation claims.
We also help people seeking money, benefits and debt advice; provide legal advice for inquests and help the carers of veterans (or their dependants) with dementia who are living at home.
The Legion runs specialist services helping those who are wounded, injured or sick through their recovery at The Battle Back Centre in Shropshire and Personnel Recovery Centres. We provide seaside holidays and family and children’s Adventure holidays.
We also provide targeted financial assistance; grants to external organisations who share our objectives; low level home repairs; and 24 hour residential, dementia and nursing care at our six Care Homes.
